    LOL at the new avatar :thumbsup:

    And I saw they announced the birthday contest winners. All but the micro scale which was supposed to be a GWP
    Thought about entering but didn't have the time for it. Was trying to figure out a minifig version of "the evolution of Man" or something like that

    I want a black Toyota pickup to go with the delorean.

    Or I think they should upsize the gravedigger to be truly monster scale in comparison to the other auto models

    Well I broke down and ordered the parts to build the SR-71 that LEGO IDEAS didn't select.

    It wasn't nearly as bad on cost as I thought it would be...still will be my most expensive set thanks to shipping charges.

    It was ~$169 for the parts alone ( most of them overseas....if I went with strictly US it was like $337). Thanks to shipping charges it came out to $260.

    I had to create the parts list myself, so if anyone else is interested in the list, I can DM the Excel sheet to you. Hopefully I am not missing anything. I will try to update as I go.

    Good luck with the build and thanks for the offer for the Spreadsheet :thumbsup:.

    I used the technique here to create a template for efficiently entering parts that can be exported to BrickLink using BL requirements for an XML doc.
    https://blog.udemy.com/excel-to-xml/

    BrickLink XML requirements:
    https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=22

    I use Part, Item#, Color, and Condition as elements. Sometimes when order multiple sets, I’ll add Remarks.

    Scroll down that page for the values (tags) to enter for each element.

    Anyone, feel free to reach out if you want.

    Happy Building!

    Edit - this is what one, new, metallic silver, lightsaber hilt looks like in XML
    <item>
    <itemtype>P</itemtype>
    <itemid>64567</itemid>
    <color>67</color>
    <minqty>1</minqty>
    <condition>N</condition>
    </item>

    Bags 1-6 are done. Definitely need patience with this one. Only problem I had is when I was putting a side piece on, some small obscure part came loose on the inside and now I have a rattle. I refuse to even think about finding it.

    I have plenty of it. I'm usually building 2 bags at the most and double checking myself.

    Finally finished it.
    The build was fun. Both of my yellow windscreens were scratched. Not happy about that at all. The airlock door kept falling off and I had to investigate what I did wrong. I didn't have the bottom most piece engaged in the groove below. I also used a couple transparent studs to indicate "go/no go" situation. Another change I did was reduce the amount of vertical fins on the back. Eight seemed like far too many. The leftover pieces can be used to elevate a moon base structure.
    And finally of course the buggy got some improvements with leftover pieces.

    Placed it in the display case...too large to fit flat. I want to buy a couple more copies of this set.
