Yeah, he didn't like the model trains or RC vehicle ideas and I can't see him making Christmas ornaments. He's more tooled up for mechanical things, not wood working. Maybe Metal sculpting? NM, he literally posted before I hit the 'submit' button.

Need to make a paint booth now.

 

There are a few folks in the area that started like that. Some took off and make a living at it. Taipan rods is here, as well as a handful of lure guys. There's a local bait and tackle shop that stocks and helps promote these guys and my sons use their stuff. You may find yourself more with an addiction than a hobby....have fun!

I’m not very artistic with color combinations,etc. But if a do a couple hundred, I might get lucky.

 

Around here you need a big variety of colors. You can have the same lure base/blank and have 7 or 8 different color choices and, if they're biting they're going to hit on one of them. I think I've seen just about every color worm, frog and crawfish and they're all going to work at one time or another. Just have fun with it. But don't be suprised if you find yourself getting some molds and pouring your own at some point.

 

Yeah, yeah, I know, I know... My old man has been saying the same thing for decades.

 

Looks like an ornament to me.

So here’s a fun one….
About a week ago, wife saw this right near our pool. (Looked it up they’re called black jackets)

so I do the husband thing and spray/kill etc until I don’t see any activity, about 7 or 8 sprays of foam killer. Then last night, have a little fire going in the pit, and she says ‘ let’s hit that down and throw it in’…ok… so bang it down and crack it open (damn I hope these picture links work!)
