I lived in Hawaii (Oahu) for 4 years...assigned to Hickam AFB. (I also was stationed in Germany [Ramstein] & Italy [Aviano])

It's all about "Ohana" on the islands.

I got a TDY to Thailand (Korat) out of it...for a Joint Exercise...I was assigned to 56ACOMS at the time (ACOMS=Air Communications).

The song, "One Night in Bangkok" has left an impression on me.

Yes and no, I live in the burbs of a big city so no around here but when I’m over in eastern Oregon I will give a friendly wave to most of the oncoming traffic. Big city folks seem to have stick shoved up in dark places while rural folks seem to be more friendly.

Can we also leave these on other Tacoma's like jeeps do with rubber ducks?

Yeah when they say it’s a jeep thing. It really is. Lol I tried lifting a couple fingers. But that will only work in Maine. And it doesn’t matter what you’re driving there btw. It would be nice to try and wave at fellow tacomas. But it truly is a jeep thing. And will never be ours. Jmho

What's up with that shit. I park away from everyone on purpose. Usually, when I come out, I end up thinking and sometimes saying out load, "10,000 open spaces and you had to park right next to me."

Sometimes I think these people think the universe will blow up killing us all if they didn't park their car right next to mine.

I live in small town/small state Delaware.

There are Tacomas here...I just don't see crap-tons of them.

When I do see them, most are focusing on the road...which is a good thing.

At stop lights...I'll see one on the opposite side traveling the opposite direction...or crossing in front of me when they have the light.

On the rare occasion, I'll make eye-contact and nod (what's up!) if I get a mutual look.

No. I save my hand gestures for the bicycle dorks in their stupid pointy helmets and their stupid rainbow spandex onesies, who ride three abreast, and won't get the fuck out of the way.
