Yeah I was annoyed the fuel ratchet heads were so much bigger, I understand they have more power so it has to be beefed up but I think my m12 1/4 ratchet is the only non fuel tool I have for work because I needed the smaller head. I'll eventually get a m12 3/8 fuel but so far I dont need one cause I've got the awesome m12 3/8 right angle impact.

 

I had the 1st gen M12 Fuel 3/8" ratchet. Yeah the head was huge & I quickly understood why people preferred the non-fuel ratchet then. The big head didn't bother me, what I didn't like is it was heavy, off balance, & slow. Guess I was spoiled by my 2 speed IR air ratchets.

Then the M12 Fuel High Speed ratchet came out. Only MW tool I have ever bought not waiting for a deal. This is what I wanted in a cordless ratchet. Not perfect but it's got a small head, lighter, shorter, better balanced, and it's really fast! Not as powerful as the 1st gen Fuel but that don't matter to me. Gave the old Fuel to my brother.





Later on I bought the tall shift knob for it. I don't have big hands & the stock recessed knob didn't bother me but it's so much better with the tall shift knob especially when using the boot.

I was unaware the high speed ratchet heads were so much smaller, I shall bump that ratchet up on my list of tools to buy.

 

M12 High Speed Extended should finally be coming out really soon. I've always been fine with the standard length though.

 

Surprisingly I have yet to come across a situation where I could have needed one of the m12 extended length ratchets. I guess if I had Hercules arms it would be good but my arms aren't hugh so I can shove my arm and ratchet down in tight places without issue

 

Mine is in rough shape, still going strong though. I’ve got an order in for the next gen one that should be here tomorrow or Monday.

 

Anyone with the m18 fuel multi tool have trouble with the batteries coming loose and killing the power? Mine doesn’t seem to lock the battery in tight enough and the connection comes loose and I lose power. Not sure if it’s the tool or old batteries, so I’ll try the new ones I just ordered

 

My 4ah battery does that bc I dropped my impact and it landed on the battery and tweaked it. Broken clip so I just zip tie it to the gun and redo it when I need a charge

 

Yea, since it’s all my batteries I’m sure it’s the tool. After further inspection it actually seems like it’s in the on off switch. So I’ll drop it off for warranty repair.

 

That top handled M18 chain saw sparked my interest. Hmmmm.

I should have waited for the top handle 12” chainsaws.

I found out a couple days ago Ryobi has a bug zapper. I’m kinda bummed I can’t vaporize a bug with my 12hr battery yet.

 

Is this a good deal ?
