From time to time, I am 'forced' to put E10 in the tank. It makes high-pitched cricket-like sounds. Matter of fact, I'm down to an 1/8 tank of 87E10... When I put E0(91) back in, no noises and runs a lot smoother.

Although I’m sure the sound isn’t as obvious to others through a cell phone video as it is to me, I kind of assumed it was normal. I’m still trying to get used to how loud these things are. Every other vehicle I’ve had I would assume the heads were about to come apart.

Thats even weirder. We only have e10 grades here whether 87, 89, or 92. No odd noises i've heard running 87 e10, and i've owned the truck since new. I'm wondering if its more mental this is happening.

Don't run sustained high rpm, and they won't.

I can't speak for the behavior of someone else's truck, but mine acts exactly as described.
You ever tried E0? Hopefully I can get this tank ran out today; then back to the 'good stuff'.

I've run non ethanol fuel when filling up in northern vermont, and coming back to connecticut. Truck seems no different except for a little better fuel mileage.
