Not sure which one you guys might have encountered, but these are the ones I remember:

The guys I worked with offshore taught me to drop tools in a five gallon bucket of 3gallons diesel. They clean up nicely and it helps lubricate them also. I also met a guy starting a business that had a cast aluminum grinder type wall mount made and he sold a hand cleaner replacement. Installed free for month trial. We bought in. All I remember him saying was it had three ingredients and one of them was sugar. Stuff worked better than the GoJo Orange Pumice we were using at the time and much cheaper.

A couple years ago I was heading to CT to check up on a vendor who was doing a rebuild/CNC conversion on an old 36” Bullard VTL for us (and was running almost a year late). On the way down I got a chip in the windshield.
On the way home I stopped at the Safelite glass shop in Keene, NH.
Called ins. co from there, got the ok and was out of there in less than 1/2 hour. No cost.
Would be full deductible ($250 I think) for replacement, so repair was best option.
Spot is right in my line of vision, but I don’t notice it anymore.

Transmission all complete except for the stobbin' it back in the truck! There was quite a bit more to the rebuild process than what we figured and a few lessons learned. It would have been so much easier for a regular Joe fixer of things with a air conditioned shop and a 3-4 days straight to work on it in a row. 2 days now with tiny bit of experience.
At the end of the day I say, damn Mikey, I sure hope it works :rofl:he's like omg man don't even go there20220813_162033.jpg

I understand. I was just hosing out the garage a moment ago and one thought about some of the diesel engine training I've had where the class of 6 or so completely dismantled the engine and reassemble. We have a dynamometer for before and after. Anyways my thought was how many students tear one apart the first time, reassemble and it doesn't work :bananadead:
Goodmorning everyone, hope you all have a great day.
We are having some of my son's friends over for gender reveal party....
