No shit you'd rather have a full tank of fuel, hard to get stranded running out of fuel/charge if you have a full tank. Running out of fuel/charge is a bonehead move regardless of what type of vehicle you're driving. Simple basic planning prevents that in all but the absolute most extreme cases.

Yes, but only when you road trip. Also not sure if that answers my original question.

Dude, just go away and stop wasting your time in these EV threads. Every time someone points out the fallacy in your argument the conditions somehow change. The cost of the vehicle has no bearing on whether or not you have to stop at gas stations or plug in to charge.

I get about 2 to 3 weeks of driving out of a tank of fuel. Are you saying I could drive for 2 weeks and not need to recharge a Rivian R1T.

Yes, depending on how many miles you drive in those 2-3 weeks. Or you just plug in to your house when you park and start every day with a full tank and still never go to a gas station.

Also you are prepared in case there is an emergency where you need the most range.

And that has what exactly to do with any part of the conversation we were having?

Pets love to be in super hot parked cars. When you take your pet in a ICE vehicle on a road trip in the summer, you need to plan around not cooking your pet in the car. Not a thing with most EVs since they have a “dog mode”. A lot less NVH on an EV too.

Is there an overland version of this somewhere? Wonder how it would fair in a long offroad excursion?

Depends on the definition of overland. If it's the Tacoma World version of strap as much unnecessary shit as possible onto the truck, probably not. If it's the actual get out and drive the truck across the country on mostly dirt, then yes.

That seems pretty stupid. I highly doubt that Rivian would be ok with them repeatedly being that deep in water for that long. Seems like a more money than brains kind of thing going on there.

Why do you need to see numbers? Do you have a watch or a clock? Here’s a hint. It’s going to be between 2 to 5 minutes to fill up.

I blocked him long ago. He makes things up and denies things that he says. I suggest you block him also.

That is pretty cool. Submersibles are electric, with enough waterproofing, technically could drive an EV totally submerged.

That’s what I thought. I certainly wouldn’t try it myself unless it was to save someone’s life.
