What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

It's always bizarre to see a tan interior when it seems 99% of trucks were gray.

That is one of my favorites. Rainy day fogs and parking lights come in handy.

 

Yeah caught quite a few large mouth this time around. Nothing to brag about, but still a great time.

I was able to sound dampen the rear wall, and rear doors before the heat got me. While I had it apart I replaced the rear speakers with some Rockford Fosgate 6.5 2- way coax to go with the recently installed front matched component speakers. With the stock head unit it is just so underwhelming. Now I either need a new head unit, or an amp
As a side note, I'm enjoying all the new found space after removing the cubbies behind the back seats. Still undecided if they'll be reinstalled.

 

Get a MOLLE gear rack, way more functional.

Not today but more of over the summer, Maxi Trac Awning from NAPA. Got it for $100 on sale back in May but it's been great. Also installed a rear/front dashcam on the mirror so I can have a useful rearview. Also just replaced my clock spring to fix my cruise control that's been broken for 2 years. While replacing found this connector not plugged into anything, is anyone familiar with what it's for? Can't find anything googling..

 

All over the place right now.. got one side ready for drive shafts working on the otherside.

Also the Lc200 rack is waiting on the diff to be finished to make sure it clears.. otherwise it's ready to bolt in.
(Still waiting on psc pump and TG res)

 

What camera is that? I've got a vantop that looks similar. I'm curious about the actual camera in the back glass, mine is on the license plate.

Caitlyn went under the knife today!!

After years (roughly 5-ish) finally got an actual exhaust reroute done! Took the stock exhaust pipe cradle(?) out of the rear skid plate too. Added a resonator and I'm REALLY happy with it all!

 

Put screens over my cabin air intake under the cowl and on the engine air intake. Good thing I decided to do this, have some rodent damage on the air filter from the past year when I replaced it.

 

I went from Fox 2.0’s to OME BP-51’s. Wow what a difference

 

I did similar not too long ago, I think there was supposed to be a screen from factory given the prexisting holes on the lip but they probably nixed it for cost savings.

I just sealed/attached mine up with FIPG-103, not as pretty but definitely functional.

 

Caught me off guard too in person lol!

 

Did some transfer case teardown investigation. Not much different between a VF1 and VF2 case. I did not tear into the VF4 case yet, but I dont expect many differences between the VF2 and VF4.

They have them listed on their site. Definitely nice to have and it does protect the tracks and the stuff you put on the tracks. They do slide off easy so do watch out for when sliding gear over the covers.
