It's already been up for sale for a bit. Believe diywatch has it and a few other outlets. Saw it some where for 65 bucks but can't find it now. Waiting for pricing to come down a bit.

    Beautiful watch, I’m jealous.

Been high on my list for first nice watch for quite some time now. The prices of the market are just silly and I have no relationship with a dealer to get a new one.

I’d say visit talk to them, get their card, email them from time to time so your name is on their mind when they get them in stock.

Thanks, That is certainly possible…. I know if I take off the back there are/should be serial numbers but I’m not sure about taking the back off. So far it seems to be right on with a quartz I have.

    Question for the Seiko peeps:

    I'm considering this one.

    My question is:

How late into the night can you read the watch?

Will it still bright enough at 5 am to read?

I wear glasses, so I can't see the alarm clock. I find it easier to just wear the watch 24/7.

Of course, other suggestions are welcome.

    Thank you in advance.
    Kirk

Based on the lume quality of my Seikos, esp. the Turtles, I'd say if the lume on this one is as good as mine... it'll last all night long if it saw sunlight for a few minutes during the day.

I have this watch (in a different colour face and case) and the lume should last all night. It's a nice solid piece. While it doesn't have the screw down crown that some of it's predecessors have, it feels well made. The picture almost gives the impression that the bezel has lume like the face but that isn't the case unless it's a mod. An inexpensive Timex with indiglo is easy to read at night and if it's a 24/7 beater you're looking for, you can't really go wrong.

    Cheers

When I was s young man I had a seiko pepsi. It broke and I tossed it.
So when shopping with my wife at our favorite jeweler I spotted this Tissot and had to get it.

The Seiko 5s are very appealing to me, but I just can't go with " Pepsi" style.

Dark and darker and I'm on board.

Bulova has the archive series, Costco is always rotating one or two in their stock.

    Currently the "Devil Diver".

    How is the luminosity?

I do have an interest in the Bulova watches, but nothing so far has "grabbed" my attention.

    I have a Costco 3 miles away, but not a member...yet

I beat my watches like a rented mule.

The only time they come off is if I can't fit my hand in a tight area while wearing the watch...and adjusting for DST.

My job ( before retirement), I needed an analog watch that showed the time in 24hr format. I now just need one that I can read in the dark .

I'm an analog watch guy even though I have a phone with me constantly.

I like the price, size and quality of the S5's. If there is something similar, I am looking into it .

Thank you for the suggestion. Will research .
