Maybe aero is making nato chambers?

Commercial 308 gauge no workey in nato....

I once got a barrel marked 45acp, but it was chambered for 10mm. So sheet happens

On the plus side I've got a complete rifle again. Range trip scheduled for 7/4 so see how it shoots. Visual inspection shows a much nicer feed ramps set up and the bolt seems to run smoother.

Very very very happy to report the new criterion barrel and bolt ran flawlessly today in the initial test run. Ran various ammo including all the ones the aero didn't like to extract or feed 0 failures from the new set up.

Between this and the finding from the smith without a doubt left in my mind the aero factory barrel was not to spec and 100% the cause of my reliability issues.

As I said before shit happens but it's how they dealt with the issue and me that is my real problem with them. Had they just acted like a reputable company would have and taken care of the problem I'd he singing their praise right now instead of basing them

So, after a long fight with th4e gas block, ordered the wrong size roll pin so I got another one. Not only was that the wrong size, but I lost it immediately. Harbor Freight had an assortment of 120 roll pin kit, so I got that. Does anyone need 119 assorted roll pins?

Gas block is now on there, I even dimpled the barrel. She is ready to go.....although I need some crush washers to secure the muzzle break with, but here she is in al her glory. Now, can I afford to take her to the range?
    Final.jpg

Fortunately I did have enough money to get some .45 so I get to take the Kriss Vector and get used to her soon.

More shady business practices discovered for Aero
I wrote an honest 1 star review for that defective upper. No swearing or insults, just a description of what happened and gun smith findings. See a message pending moderator review. 5 days later it's not posted so appears they delete/prevent negative reviews from being posted in some cases(I didn't look through all reviews to see if anything below 3 stars was approved) so I won't make a blanket statement about all being blocked/deleted

I also sent one final email to them with my smiths findings attached giving them one last chance to step up and do the correct thing. No response a week later.

That seals it for me I won't even order m4 lowers from them anymore. I was more than patient and gave them ample opportunity to stand behind their product.

I know some have good luck with them and this is just my experience but posting anyway as a potential warning that if things don't work like they're supposed to be prepared to take that $ L

Also for those wanting to use the Magpul PRS lite on their AR10 build. DO NOT use the aero enhanced buffer tube. Stick with standard mil spec or A5. The enhanced aero is off due to the enhanced part while this won't affect normal stocks it does cause some slop in the PRS lite.

I just figured this out after putting a new PRS lite on a AR15.

Took off the Swampfox put on an Arken 4-16 I had for another build. Pretty much confirms the end of my lpvo experiment. While I'm still not opposed to a good 1-6 I think the 1-10 is still a ways from being optimized.

Arken much easier to get behind at 4x all the way up to 16x compared to the eyebox on the Arrowhead the Arken is quite a bit more forgiving which was surprising. Going to continue testing to see how it goes.

The Criterion is running great today in less than ideal conditions 107 temps swirling 10-15 mph winds and intense mirage was able to put together multiple groups right at 1 moa a couple better.

Even the lighter 147-150 was shooting way way better than the 3-5 moa the aero was shooting

Bad mouth Aero all you’d like I can’t really blame you but I took my Aero junk back to the range today with my Chinesdium Bushnell scope and it ran flawlessly and posted a 1/2” group at 100
    This is 4 shots

I’m good with that. You had a bad experience and that sucks

Thought I've be pretty clear my bashing was related to my own experience with said company. Not on anyone else's build. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm happy yours works as intended and you didn't have to buy a new barrel.

Nope you were clear, that was aimed toward other comments on here. As I said in the post I understand you had a super piss poor experience and I understood you. We all have different experiences.

Ha the criterion barrel that UPS lost and Criterion replaced immediately showed up today 48 days later.

I'm not a jerk so I emailed the criterion rep back and asked to send a shipping label and I'll gladly send it back to them.

Apparently there is an AR10 thread :)

This build has been a 2 year process of collecting all the parts. Barrel, hand guard and BCG took forever to get made. AR10 .308 built for long range shooting. Any spec questions feel free to ask, sadly I have a full part/cost sheet .

So, I'm changing one of my .308's to 6.5 Creedmoor, the 24" heavy profile barreled .308, is going to be an 18" 6.5 Creedmoor. I bought a complete A R Stoner upper, haven't had anything A R Stoner, anybody have any experience with this brand? This is going to change the big old girl a lot.IMG_0189.jpgIMG_0190.jpg
