    When I started deer hunting in the 70’s, hunting ground could be bought for 2-300 bucks an acre and now it’s 5k plus per acre for most property in this area.

    That doesn’t take into account taxes. If you own non-agricultural ground then they want to stick it in your ass with recreational land tax if you don’t put it in a forestry management plan.

    Oh to have 70's prices again.

    Here in Texas, 10 acres is your minimum to legally hunt. That will run around $200,000 just outside of city limits. 3 hours or so out of the city 100 acres will run around $300,000
