    Hey y'all,

Wondering if anyone is familiar with this connector below? Found it while replacing my clock spring and am curious what I'm missing; I've not been able to find any wiring diagrams that show what this is. I have a steering wheel with the audio controls on the left but not the other controls on the right so I'm not sure if that's possibly what it's for.

Could be, post the wire colors on it and I'll poke around in the wiring diagrams tonight and see what I can find out.

I believe that's connector O1 which is for remote outer mirrors. Or S9 which is steering sensor (not sure what that is but will look into it).

It’s for the steering wheel angle sensor. I’ve noticed some Tacoma’s have an extra ring on the clock spring for that connector. My truck does have the ring. I ran it without the ring and that plug and noticed no difference.

Interesting, I guess the guy before me had to replace the clockspring already and didn't have it plugged in either.

Everything still works for me so I guess it's not a vital part of the system, thankfully.

It would make sense if it's for a steering angle sensor as only trucks that have VSC would have one, on pre 09 trucks VSC was an option after 09 it became standard.
