I've had experience with the rocket plug on a Kohler 20hp twin in an old Husqvarna Zero Turn. Blew the plug out of that thing probably 60'. Maybe I'll tie a tether to it just to be safe

I have, and did get a small raise. It helped some, but with gas and food prices skyrocketing...

I get it, I ask for a raise about a year ago and while it was greatly appreciated, with everything else going up....yada yada.

I'd like to buy either a 3D printer or laser engraver as a little side job for some extra spending money, but I'd have to clean my garage.

I was inline to get a significant bump in pay due to reaching set goals. Was supposed to get it last year but due to a change in management it slipped through the cracks until I asked about it. Got it the beginning of 2022. It was a chunk of money added to my hourly wage.

With the way the economy is right now, I notice none of it. I'm thankful that I got it but I never really got to "enjoy" the extra it would provide. I know this is a first-world problem. I am happy I make enough for us to live on one income.

The funny thing about careers is that we don’t know what we don’t know. Exposure and figuring out what’s out there, what’s possible and if it’s a good fit is never too late. It just sucks starting from scratch the older we get..

About the only human trait I am envious of is a person knowing what they want to do at an early age and happily doing that for the rest of their lives…

    Truth.
I was so thankful to have a (any) job that it took me several years to figure out that some folks actually enjoy their jobs.
Naturally by then I was so deeply in that a change was out of the question. :notsure:

On the bright side, that looks like a perfect candidate for chip repair! I would get that done ASAP in case those cracks want to run!

I had no idea what I wanted to do other than work somewhere. I worked at a landscape nursery for 2 years in high school and those summers, hated it. Worked in HVAC as a helper/installer for 2 years after that, hated it. I carried that hate everywhere with me. A friend called me one day and ask if I wanted a job here as a machinist, I had zero experience in machining and only knew how to stick weld. Been here 27 years and still love coming to work

Yerp, just need one for the exact dimensions. If I think about it I'll dig mine out tonight and bring it here and take it apart.

We had one of those at our club in original condition... that's kind of a cute mod!
