If your going for the minimal running i like Nike Free's. Has to be the most comftorable shoe i have ever worn, and i dont really run! They are just really comftorable for everyday walking around.

imo buy the vibrams. my sister and her boyfriend both got them for running. she really needed them after getting stress fracture in her femur and foot. they not only helped her out with walking alot but even afterwards she loved wearing them because she felt like she was barefoot but there was quite a bit of protection as well. I like the sinch laces in the pic above for sure, might wanna go with those, I wasn't a huge fan of the velcro strap on her boyfriends

I have a pair (getting a new pair soon, a different style) and they take a little bit of time to get on at first, but after a week of using them a lot, you can just slip them on like nothing

oh, and if you get some, dont get the standard or sprints, get the KSO (keep stuff out) they are the full coverage ones, they dont look like ballet slippers (except for the toes)

Here in the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets, a lot of us wear them (including myself) because they are better than traditional running shoes for you feet in terms of kinesiology. They also improve your run times after a while.

I have thought about getting these but they still just look weird to me. I guess I will just have to get used to them. Maybe I will get some eventually.

that is how i feel. they are definitely different. but they are supposed to be healthier for you. regular shoes make your feet move in unnatural positions. walking barefoot or with the five fingers are supposed to take your foot back to that natural walking position.

Just read this thread today and spent the next 2 hours or so watching Youtube videos of ppl reviewing them and running in them. They actually look pretty sweet. Too bad there isnt a store near me that carries them.
