    Hi Grumpy Garvey here do's any one know is there a way to change the s mod on the 22 Tacoma auto trany to a manual mod.

    Ovtune with gear lock out. That's what I'm assuming you are asking for.

    Hi Vegasstunts Probably not sure what I want is when I put trany in 4th gear I want it to stay in 4th and not down shift in to 3rd every time it smells a hill.

    All of them.
    You need a tune with a gear lock out. You'll have to find someone local to you that offers kd max tune or ovtune. Usually run around $350-$500

    So if I was not moving and I put the truck in S4, would it just stall or take forever to accelerate?

    All of them.
    It has a safety in the tune if the rpms get low enough it will down shift. So to answer your question, no. It will go into first. But at 55mph you can slap it in 6th and punch it and it will not down shift.

    Would not stall, that's what a torque converter is for, same reason it doesn't stall at stop in first gear.

    The sport shifting autos I'm familiar with won't allow you to do ridiculous things, like not allowing a downshift that would over rev the engine, or upshift too far and overheat the torque converter. Many auto downshift if the brakes are applied.
