    There are some brave souls there trying to point out some difficulties...
    ... such as sourcing the critical metals for batteries, battery disposal /recycling, the capacity of the electricity grid, etc.
    That's just for starters and doesn't address range, charging stations, the fact that the battery performance degrades significantly in cold weather...
    The zealots try to shout them down (makes you wonder why they're here instead of on a Rivian forum).

    This is not to say that the difficulties cannot be overcome, given sufficient capital (and political support).
    But I have doubts as to feasibilty on economic grounds alone, at the present time.

    I'll just point out here that Rivian lost almost 2 billion bucks last quarter :rolleyes:
