I drove two different Mitsubishi 2.5 ton forklifts.

I didn't realize that even though they're manual (they had a clutch pedal), they're actually automatic.

Threw me for a loop for a second but I just used it with the clutch pedal and ignored the brake pedal.

It's an inching brake or whatever, but the guy that certifies me basically said it's better described as using a clutch.

But also, lifting at a faster rate is achieved by throttling up with the "clutch" pedal depressed.

I had a tiny external head gasket leak that grew a bit over a few months. Then my water pump that was replaced in 2017 started puking too. Oil pan has a seep that's growing slowly too which means pulling the front diff. So I just decided I'm going to pull the motor. Truck is only at 140K but I'm going to commit on pulling it anyway.

Pulling the engine is easy enough that it's the better choice. Good time for a clutch too, unless you like the stocker.

    I mean, pretty much.

If it's having issues at 140k, it was driven hard and put away wet.

    Dibs.

For real though. Sometimes I feel like my truck is a lemon. But then I realize it was only down for 4 months last year because I was with that girl for a bit and was waiting on parts for the transfer case.

If I left the truck stock/2WD the first major issue probably would've been this head gasket leak. Old retired Air Force guy highway drove it in San Antonio to work for it's whole life. Meticulously kept maintenance records and had it dealer serviced every 5K until I got it at around 100K.
Yeah it would be the time to R150F swap too lol. I'll run the A340E/F until it dies.

Now do that in the gravel with one of these Hyster 5292H5292B.jpg

It was a genuine 3 speed manual transmission from the 80s, that was my introduction to forklift certification lol

So it's a real clutch? Or is it a left foot brake pedal right next to the right foot brake pedal?

The Shyster was always my favorite brand lift at the machine shop cause fucking nothing worked right on it which included the governor and the limit switches. Wanna see it self destruct? Just hold any control for 5 seconds haha.

The newer ones I ran were absolutely that. This particular one I got to run seemed bulletproof as shit, it was a big guy I might be misremebering the model number.. but having a real clutch made it stupid fun to drift when part of the yard froze over every year

Yeah worded that incorrectly, he just mentioned to think of it as such.

We have like 6-7 forklifts, and the 2 I drove are the tiny ones.

Just whenever I need to grab or move what I've welded and get it out of the way back on the pallet.

    Stand up or sit down?

I've run so many different types and brands of forklifts over my professional career lol. They're one of my favorite industry tools

I know its an internet cliche of a song. But I really want to know what kind of circumstances allowed something so odd, fun, and colorful to happen in Russia. Looks like even the shoot for this song was a party.
