So yesterday I took my Tacoma in for its 20k free service and asked that a tech inspect one of my front rotors. It was showing some unexpected wear (worn grooves and some pitting), other rotor was clean.

They came back to me and agreed it was unusual wear and replaced BOTH rotors and pads under warranty. I didn’t even ask them to replace or anything about warranty, just asked to inspect and let me know if there was an issue. They took the initiative to replace under warranty.
Pretty satisfying experience so far. This dealership also offers lifetime warranty on the engine.

    Oh look, another mod....

That's great service. Dealerships like that are great to find. They probably keep the same customers for 30yrs or more.

I would be more concerned about what caused the rotor to get chewed up. That's great service...don't get me wrong...but there may be a bigger underlying issue that wasn't discovered.

With a dealership, it's all about the manager. If they are good, they will make money and customers will be happy. Glad you found what looks like an honest one. We really need a stickied good experiences dealership thread by state.

Yes great dealers are hard to find and as someone above said it’s all about the manager and mechanics. Lazy = you lose.
