Hi - posting here as I cannot reply yet to the BST thread for the MESO Fuse Covers (less than 50 posts lol).

Has anyone successfully made a clean exit from P/OUTLET2? I have the dual switches that is connected to a low-profile add-a-fuse, and tapped into P/OUTLET2. I need a slot with ACC power so that eliminates all constantly hot power options, and P/OUTLET2 is an open slot for the 2021 DCSB OR premium. I can stretch the power cable to reach P/OUTLET1 albeit the cable is not tucked in.

The Fuse Cover V2 has two extra slots that I thought accommodates P/OUTLET2. Punched out the knockouts for left and right, and both have issues:
    • Left slot: strains the power cable (and likely to cause issues in the long run).
    • Right slot: doesn't work, the slot is off my a few millimeters.
Please excuse the upside down photos, this is what it actually looks like installed:

With the cover on, second slot is off by a few millimeters to allow a clean exit for the power cable from P/OUTLET2.

With the cover off, I 'reinforced' the power cable as I anticipate it would likely give out from continuous strain. The bend also just does not look right.

Power cable on the P/OUTLET1 creates a clean exit. Admittedly, the slots are just big enough to allow the terminus out but sharp enough to create indentations on the power cable.

I suppose at least the fuse cover is back in, and my dealership won't ask me unsolicited questions or give unsolicited comments regarding my exposed fuses and missing fuse cover.

The stock fuse cover is installed upside down, but I suppose that is fine as you would have to re-orient it upright to read the contents anyways. It would look like the stock fuse cover would hit the release tabs of the V2 fuse cover if MESO would flip to correct the orientation. Can also look at shortening the release tabs to allow clearance?

The Fuse Cover V2 I received is also missing a fuse puller. I tried to find one locally and could not obtain one. I am also just a tad disappointed that I ended up cutting two of the knockouts for no good reason (my OCD is killing me :annoyed:).

I had the same issues with V1 and at the end of the day I just removed it altogether and don’t run a cover anymore.

I used my Dremmel tool to cut a slot where I wanted it on my cover.

I just :sawzall: my V1 up, after that, I didn't see a need for the V2.

I remember your comment in the BST thread mentioning the same issue.

Admittedly, I dislike 'hack jobs' or cutting especially since this cover is 30USD (like 5000 maple rupees :D) and I prefer a clean look. The fuse cover looks great (props to @MESO) although I am a tad disappointed with the missing fuse puller and the need for cutting a clean fuse cover.

I bought one and it hits my secondary fuse panel I added. Completely my fault but wasted 30 bucks. I haven't had a cover for a few years now and looks like it'll stay that way.

No issue for my application, I also "reinforced" with tapes, I guess you'd have to cut your own notch to reduce the angle

I used a dremel to expand the slot on my V1. To be fair, You have to really contort yourself and hunt down any difference in appearance. Last week I had my head under the dash, looked up and said "oh yeah! I have a fuse cover there. neat."
