Simple mods: tailgate lock, LED interior lighting, black badges, MESO red push-to-start, MESO key fob, interior bed lights.
I always wash by hand but I'm one of those weird ones that actually enjoys doing it. Somehow it's relaxing for me to wash both our vehicles on a Sunday morning.

For what its worth, I used to own a Ram Laramie and received a membership as a gift. I took that thing through at least 3 times a week because, well... I could - why not? But then I got it detailed some time after that and the detail guy said that there were noticeable swirl marks in the clear coat. I never noticed anything so perhaps to the "average joe" its a non-issue but he convinced me enough to revert to hand washing.

I used to make landscaping runs, but then the local mulcher wanted $50 for you to drop your load, just so they could charge $50 for someone else to pick it up in chip format. Plus you have to drive by the metal pile to get to the wood pile, which meant good odds of repairing a tire for your efforts.

Then I bought the $400 HF wood shredder. Screams like a banshee, wakes the neighbors, threatens to rip your arm off on a good day, but hey. No more brush runs and free mulch to boot. Win win.

Pro tip- either take shoes off upon entering or wear white booties over the street shoes. A pair of ladies driving gloves might keep wear off interior as well. Finally don’t be blowing farts into the seats.

I had a 2010 Tacoma that I stopped washing after 3 years ( self-serve car wash only). Only wash it ever got was rain for the next 10 years.

Will probably do the same with my 3rd gen.

And thing was, the paint was perfect. That layer of dirt protects it against harmful sun rays. Lol

I just mooch off my neighbor. Their irrigation systems starts up around 4 am, I do have to park facing the opposite direction each day. That way both sides of the truck get washed.
