Dave .. nice looking air compressor set up !!!


I had a very nice set up in my old 68 Jeep Rock crawler I had 20 plus years ago . I converted over a York AC compressor to an air pump . It could supply 150 psi air pressure and with a 8 gallon air tank I could easily run any air tools I needed

It had all the safety features as a normal air compressor and had a self oiler set up so to keep it lubricated . I've always wondered if these newer style AC compressors could easily be converted as the older York or Sanden units

I always wanted to do that on my Samuri but never got to it. I know several folks out there that still use them including "Fab Rats" on his FJ.

The "Bluepoint" air chuck was more than the compressor. Ahahahahahahahha. 10 years later I'm still payin the truck off. LMAO
Compressor was $165 from 4wheel parts if I remember and another $30 to plumb it. (Smittybuilt 2781) This thing builds pressure fast so it's a ripper.
