I didn’t like the high fender at first but now that I want to add luggage I am beginning to like the look of it.

I found a loophole to get extra miles in at work. Offering to go grab the emergency hardware order from Home Depot for the maintenance guys so they don't have to make the drive.

The Home Depot 3 towns over with the twisty bits in between :anonymous:

Haha I work in real estate, and am a notary. So I'm frequently getting to leave in the middle of the day, or leave early, and go on one of those errands to get some extra riding in.

I managed a deal like that a couple of years ago.

Customer left 4 mounting pins in their hydraulic cylinders when they dropped them for repair and needed them ASAP to install other cylinders to get their crane back on a job site. They called and wanted us to arrange a truck or van to pick them up and run them from our shop to one of their locations over 200 miles away. I saw they were small and light enough to safely carry in my saddlebags and offered to deliver them. Got paid to stay on the clock, mileage for using my own vehicle, and reimbursement for tolls for using my personal EZ Pass on the turnpike. Left shop around 9 or 10 in the morning and got back at 6pm riding over 440 miles out and back. That one trip bought me my next pair of tires!

I keep offering to deliver or pick up small parts to dealers in WV or VA but they keep telling me no.
