Yeah, that's why I now have a full Bilstein setup and Deavers sitting in my garage waiting to be installed and a Relentless bumper ordered. Sliders are next along with some new skids.

You might want to research the diff drop. On the 2nd Gen they seem to increase the chance of damage to the diff.

From what I’ve seen on turd gen the boot does get much closer to rubbing on itself even at 2” front. That is also easy enough I could do afterwards if I check the angles and observe after lift

Just tore mine at 111k, lift installed at 20k miles.

My tacoma is sort in a weird spot, Ive had the truck for 12 years now and it doesn't get driven as much as Id like. Im kicking around making it a camping rig. Id love to do solid axle and what not.
Does any one have experience with bed pop up campers?

If anyone is looking for a shell for a 2nd Gen DCSB and an iKamper x-cover RTT message me. I'll be posting on FB marketplace and other forums later this week.

The shell is a Leer 100xr with Thule tracks and rack included (one of the square bars should be replaced and I will include the part). The shell has some scratches and the sliding window at the cab has been replaced with plexiglass but it's in decent shape overall and includes a LED light setup that I made. They sell for a bit over $3k new.

The iKamper xcover was a v1 preorder and has been on the truck for 3 summers. They also sell for a bit over $3k new. We went with this RTT because it's light weight (≈120lbs) and was big enough for the family. On the iKamper, I put a vinyl wrap over the black cover to help reduce heat. It includes the rack so you can strap kayaks/paddle boards or use the t-slots to mount bike racks or other accessories. We slept with 2 adults and 2 small kids in the RTT but it started getting cozy as the kids grew.

Made me wish I had my taco up here too but kid wants her car up here so she drove. 20220816_103037.jpg20220817_161422.jpg 20220817_161440.jpg

Definitely a badass truck. Pretty sure his family owns the Mark Fore & Strike Sporting Goods store off Kietzke. I bought a set of ultra beadlock wheels he had on the truck previously about a year and a half ago as he wanted to go with Method bead grips wheels instead for some reason. He also texted me back about 6 months after asking if I wanted to trade the beadlocks for his new Methods as he wasn't digging them, that was a hard pass.

I do and don't want LT...so conflicted :goingcrazy:

I'll probably just end up with a +2 setup if I do but I guess I should go for a ride in a +3.5 truck before I refresh the front.

hey folks, just throwing this out there. Does anyone have any scrap steel , larger round steel balls, long steel tubing they don't want/need dont care of the condition. I am trying to save some money and DIY my own Steel maces for working out. I would buy them, however they are way overpriced for what they are. I have access to a welder, can anyone steer me in the right direction? I got into doing this at crossfit, and my coach recommended it, especially for shoulder rehab.

No balls of steel here, just normal ones I suppose. Have a steal rod I’m told though. You’re welcome to come take a look. I have to keep it outside cause it’s too big for in the house.

lol seriously though, I take some pictures of our scrap pile and send it your way. You’re welcome to whatever you want.
