So far it's been nothing but a very minor annoyance. But the OP asked if anyone had a deceleration vibration in a stock truck. Well I do. Add that the list of quirks this truck has. But even though the list of quirks gets annoying after a while, I would still buy the same truck again if I had to do it all over again.

Got back from the dealer and i talked to the mechanic who looked at my truck. They are going to replace rear leaf springs,But they did admit this is not normal or a quirk for this truck.and there is a TSB for this.

My 2019 had these decel vibrations- felt most acutely with an empty bed. I noticed it after the first 4-500 miles. I was able to eliminate 95% of the vibration with a one piece drive shaft from Tom Woods.

I think all of the third gen Tacoma’s exhibit this vibration to one degree or another. Whether a driver feels it or not depends on how sensitive to it they are and on their specific trucks set up, whether the leaf springs have a shim or not from the factory, how much weight is in the bed etc… Whatever the case, I think this is entirely driveline angle related, and the two piece shaft is the culprit. None of the fixes in the TSB seem to quite take care of these vibrations and really seem like spaghetti at the wall. Toyota leaves it to the dealers to diagnose and fix, but doesn’t offer a good solution. They probably know that a one piece drive shaft is the real fix, why they haven’t gone that route is pretty baffling- seems like it would be vastly cheaper to produce than a two piece with a carrier bearing.

I'm not sure that there is a TSB for the 2022 model year yet. T-SB-0124-20 covers 2016-2021

Makes no sense how the rear leaf springs have anything to do with this vibration. Looks I'll be taking mine back at some point.

The very fact that a TSB exists for this issue means that it absolutely is normal. A significant volume of trucks exhibit this issue such that Toyota has formally recognized the need to provide a remedy and the associated rubric to guide their network of dealers through the process of diagnosing and fixing it.

If this wasn’t common there would not be a TSB. What’s confounding is that they continue to produce trucks that do this, and they are content to try to fix it with half measures after people buy them.

I called my dealer today and spoke to a service advisor about the vibration I'm experiencing. I wanted to see if they've heard of this issue. He was familiar with the previous TSB and said the issue can be a one of many reasons as discussed in this thread. He basically said it should not have vibration. Next step is to decide when I can get in the dealer to be checked out.

Its annoying the piss out of me. Probably because I look for it every time I'm slowing down. I was thinking about giving it some time to see if it disappears but I don't know about that

I am on the same page about waiting a while to see what happens. Sometimes the vibration is worse than other times, but always from about 25-10 mph.

I'm at 9100 miles now and mine hasn't gone away, maybe less then it was when it was new but that could also be me being used it it now.
