I can make a tube to put them in too. I won’t lie, it’s one of the nanny systems I really like having the TPMS W/ location. It’s a godsend in NMW “Hey, I uhhh got about 5 minutes of air in my left front let’s find a place to stop to patch this”.

Besides - I’ll be getting into a 5 or 6 wheel rotation, so it’ll be good to have. A bit of a cost up front but it’s not vehicle-specific so I can use it on my truck, wife’s car, farm it out for 5$ a pop to recoup some of the costs, etc.

I'd just pull the sensor LED on the dash, then call it good. If you hear hissing, fix your tire :notsure:

Had to laugh reading this, something I see all the time at my work. My favorite is explaining which way is positive and negative on x,y,z then explain it doesn’t move back and forth but always go positive and negative buy way of the spindle not the table.

If I had seen this before I picked up my 4Runner, I very well might have kept the taco and picked this up. It’s just under the after trade in price of the runner.

We all had to start somewhere. I never interned but I am sure that it's almost a working interview in some ways..plus like anything else, when you just get there you're probably being watched to figure out your work knowledge, ethic, etc.

Mattresses and box springs for the kids. Littlest one is graduating from a toddler bed, older one...we cheaped out way too much on her mattress and even at almost 5 she's complaining it is uncomfortable, so, yeah.

I had co-op. It was pretty brilliant as I got past that "stupid new guy" stage reasonably fast. My first one was a joke on both sides of the coin. I probably wasn't a great employee, but they never gave me a ton to do. I kept disassembling and rebuilding these little mechanical pumps. One time I might have forgotten to put oil back in after draining it. Oops. My boss was a creep, though. He used to ask me what I thought of his wife and I was just like...uhhh, this is really uncomfortable but I was 20 and awkward and didn't know any better so I just tried to dodge the question.

Well said. I came out just before the crash back when it was still all hiring bonuses and referral bonuses and stuff. I was just starting to see the slowdown and put out a lot of CVs and didn't get anything. I ended up getting a job with my last co-op and then 2010 hit. Technically I'm still on the last day of a two week notice 12 years later, but I moved offices and made myself somewhat important there. It's amazing how what I'd call my "generation" has been tainened byt he whole 2008 thing in a way the newer grads simply weren't. I remember the days of applying to 100+ jobs and getting 3-4 callbacks and maybe 1-2 interviews. I'm still grumpy I lost a job because the stand-in interviewer hated cars and when I was chatting with him I mentioned I was a bit of a gearhead and he was like "Person X has like 5 cars and drives a different one every day, I don't understand it at all" and I could literally feel my chances for the job dying by the minute. Another job I showed up in my STi in the parking lot and I'm fairly confident that I lost that shot because the car was a big NASCAR guy and having one of them "ferrin cars" didn't really work. I used to borrow my now-wife's tC for something a bit more nondescript.

I thought FJ prices went through the roof. That actually seems fairly reasonable for what you get.

As an aside, to go back to the poison ivy talk...definitely still don't have my immunity back as I've got it on both my arms, my leg and my lower back from pulling my shirt down with my gloves not thinking. Loving life right now.

I went to BJ's on Sunday and noticed a lot of people buying mattresses there. Actually, I saw more people leaving with those than big screen TVs.

OTOH, I got milk, batteries, and compressed air. Big spender!

Milk is incredibly cheap at BJ's.

OTOH, I did buy a new Barska rifle scope on Amazon. Oh, and H11 Xenon headlight bulbs for my Tacoma.

Poison Ivy ^^^^^^ what he said

I just finished a prednisone run. No pus no muss. Went to the walk-in two days after exposure when I first noticed the rash starting on my arms. Gone in three or four days

I agree, I poked around last year looking for a used FJ, never found anything to even peak my interest due to crazy prices, if I hadn’t just got the runner, I’d go check this one out.

After my little run in I've been taking Viagra Claritin (generic) daily all summer. Coincidentally I got another small rash on my hands just a week ago and it may be snake oil or it may not be but I had basically no itching and it stayed to a very small contained rash. Maybe coincidence maybe not. Either way. Keeping it up for another few months

The best treatment I've found for Poison Ivy is "Clear Calamine." Which ironically has no calamine in it. It has a combination of Pramoxine and Zinc Acetate. Pramoxine is a non prescription topical anesthetic and stops the itching and burning. The Zinc is a drying agent and dries up the pustules.

Apply it early and often it will keep the PI from spreading.

Oh, here's another tip. Those vines that wrap around the trees? If they have little hairs growing out of them, they are Poison Ivy. So, don't go cutting them and ripping them down with your bare hands.

Just thought I'd mention that.

100% the clear over that pink stuff. I had no idea of the differences but the results are night and day. I never felt the pink stuff worked all that great and tried the clear one time and noticed a huge difference!
