Let me guess, there's no traffic, no hills, and you're driving below 65? That's not "real world" driving for 99% of the population.

Hey, not my fault 99% of the population can’t figure it out. :) which is good for me.

Last 400 mile round trip up into the mountains loaded down with camp gear and pulling my moto trailer. Tank average was 22.5. Heading off again tomorrow to the high country, this time with 265/75 ATs tossed on…we will see how much it effects the mpg.

Why do insist on a truck? It seems like a midsize suv is what you really need. You’re trying to force a Tacoma to do what you want because you like the look of it. Use your diesel for truck stuff and get a RAV4 or Highlander for everything else.

Probably ran away from the dumpster fire of a thread he started.

OP decided — plot twist! — not to buy a Tacoma.

Can’t wait to see him on the furry forum telling us why he desires but simply can’t purchase the pink long hair fox suit until a new version without the white sleeves becomes available.

I have two Honda CRVs already. They have a whimpy 1500 pound towing capacity. They tow 1k terribly, let alone 1500. I would have to go larger SUV and they usually cost larger $$ and don't have good fuel economy either.

What are you towing and how often? You’re looking for a magical vehicle that doesn’t exist.

What is a bump camp? You mean the ARE Mid-rise shell on the bed?

I didn't have my truck very long before I added some weight with rock sliders and the shell. Maybe 1-2 miles. Was getting 16-17, mainly town driving between home and work, about 7-8 traffic lights in between. After mods about 15 consistently. Did not have enough HWY driving but in general on HWY I get 22 -24 MPG if I put it on adaptive cruise control and keep it around 62 mile per hour.

Towing 580lb aluminum 6x10 with a 500lb quad or lawnmower of 750lb. The CRVs can do it, but they don't like it. When I said bump cap, yes, referring to mid rise shell. From what I hear, now is still a terrible time to buy a vehicle anyway. So...., I have enough running vehicles where I can wait until the next generation. I won't be happy with the kind of mileage the average person gets on here. I still love the truck and respect it.

What makes you think the next generation is magically going to get better mpg? Maybe they add a hybrid but it’s going to cost more than you’ll save in fuel.

I always get a kick out of these threads.

I want a battery operated 75" OLED TV with robotic legs so that it will follow me around from room to room. I can watch Judge Judy while washing dishes or taking a shower. I know that this idea exists in my head so if someone can point me in the direction of where to buy it I'll be most appreciative.

Someone said "ipad." No. I want a TV. I need the screen to be bigger. While still being battery powered. And portable. And self propelled. And it serves ice cream.
