Sonic Electronix?

Anyone ever order from them and have major issues?

Looking at getting this sub, but the price seems a little suspicious to me lol.

I have never ordered from them, but i have that same sub in my car, and it is a thumper.

All comes down to the return policy and review of that company.

 

I order everything from Sonicelectronix and never had any problem. Best prices Iv seen on most everything, and so far fast shipping.

Ive ordered a couple things from them and had good luck, but one of my friends ordered an amp from them and when it came in it was DOA. So he called them and they said send it back and they would send him another one. Well he sent it back and after about 3 or 4 months of calling them and aggravating them about it, they finally just gave him his money back. I think the problem is just their customer service. Like I said I have ordered numerous head units, speakers and other odds and ends, and never had a problem, but I have never had to return anything either.

You should not have any problems with the warranty (like above poster stated about DOA amp). Most of those sites sell what is called "gray market" gear. That means they carry no warranty from the manufacturer. The manufacturer won't even touch the products if you purchased from one of those vendors. If you have a problem with a product as far as warranty goes, they (that particular vendor) are the only ones that will service it. The manufacturer does not recognize most of them as authorized dealers.

Their price after match for the same sub was $73.00.

for the shallow mount is $240.. but the regular type r is $120 each.. twice the rms watts.. just saying.

Oh I gotcha. I actually have 2 alpine Rs in a slot vent box. The mounting depth is too deep to fit in https://www.soundoffaudio.com/item.cfm/id/2331.

I ordered two different times from sonic and actually had great customer service, prices are reasonable as well. They are authorized sellers as well...straight from their web page.

Are they crutchfield, no, but they clearly state that they honor for 30 days then ask you to go to the manufacturer.

Got most of my setup from them

 

Used to work for them. Unorganized and the owner Nate just wants your money and treats his employees like garbage. Thinks we owed him. Would yell at people for not working over time.
I know for a fact that they were selling refurbished hifonics amps as new while I was there a few years ago. They send your product back to the store where they buy them from and that store sends it back to the manufacturer. Now that they are authorized with more companies it may be different, but the owner is still a douche.

 

Never had a problem with them until a year ago. I bought a 12" rf p3 blew it in 3 weeks. Took it to two local audio shops both tested my amp etc with a new sub in. They had no clue how I blew the sub. Called sonicelectronix they have a 1 month guarantee on everything as well as a 1 year something or another. Told them what happened. BAsically they said I didn't buy some kind of special Rockford fosgate guarantee and that the 1 month guarantee was not valid with rf. pissed me off.

And I know it's been awhile but I got to thinking about it a month or so ago and called Rockford fosgate. They told me they can't do anything. but other customers with the same problem got a replacement from sonicelectronix. So they don't know what happened with me.
