I am looking into the evo adventure version of this cap and wondered if anyone has had any issues with them? I would be using it to sleep in my short bed (diagonally on a DIY bed platform). I understand they cannot be locked/unlocked from the inside but would I still be able to close them? Is the sport version better for sleeping?

The leer 100xr is quite a bit cheaper and seems popular but I have read that the cap can come loose when travelling off-road and concerned about the fibreglass durability. I think the GFC would be the best option but struggling a bit with the cost factor. Even 5k Canadian is pretty high for the smartcap.

Love my RSi. You have to latch the side windoors or they pop open. You can close the latches on the rear and then close the rear if you're worried about someone locking you in but it will leave a little gap. Haven't slept in mine as I don't have a platform and my bed (5') is too short diagonally between the wheel wells for me to sleep comfortable unless I leave the tailgate down.

No issues so far. I had a fiberglass Leer on my F-250 and had lots of cracking on it after 10 years.

Once the kids are off to college I'll have a GFC just so the wife and I can camp easily.
