Its sad insurance companies are saying totaled on older modified vechiles let alone tacomas even if it’s not engine related. Almost like pushing peeps to buy new and stay stock.

 

10k for a buddy. 12k for others. idk. s/c, engine, trans i think 8-9k rest parted 3?
id personally value the motor at 5-6 if i could get it w/o s/c.

 

very accurate thinking on insurance. i believe that to be true.

 

When getting you into a new/newer vehicle includes all the fancy safety upgrades, insurance ends up paying out less in medical expenses, which in the end makes them more money.

 

10k for motor with blower and trans. Wiring harness and ecu.

 

I would personally think a longblock assembly without S/C would run for about 4K. Add S/C, another 2.. 2.5K plus add some value to his internals build... Another 2K so I wouldn't see why 8- 8.5K would be unreasonable.

Djm 3-4 lowering kit. Stock front struts. Stock leafs with blocks. And like brand new ride tech rear shocks.

The 12-15 oem exhaust manifolds have the air injection tube. If I yank out the sai equipment after tuning, would the earlier oem exhaust manifolds without the tubes work? I imagine they would but want to be sure.

 

No, the head ports are different. I thought about doing that too. And tbh....i kinda missed the extra whine of the SAIS at shutdown when you have the filter mod done.

 

But installing headers would be a lot easier with that stuff out of the way. Especially installing the block off plates on the new headers before installing the headers in the taco

 

I have long tubes now. Was considering at some point yanking that stuff out. I have the block off plates. Also considering putting oem manifolds back in. Kinda want to tame it down a bit.
