Installed a new Snugtop Hi-Liner. Had a Leer before on my 2nd gen. I like the quality of the Snugtop better: sealing, water drainage off of the rear glass, hot wired interior light and USB ports in the bed area.

Thank you. It rained last night so I took the opportunity to give it a good wipe down

@fishhead90 That was a dumb question on my part. Apologies. I saw a YouTube video on the VLEDs: https://www.vleds.com/3g-tacoma-dual-fwk-front.html
And it's pretty cool they do fade with the overhead cabin light. I like it! Neat mod.
Were the puddle lights tough to install?
I was thinking, if I purchased the floor lighting package, and I purchase the puddle pod splitter, but then I ran extended wiring through the firewall, and down to LED assemblies under the frame, couldn't I achieve essentially the same effect but without cutting up the mirror enclosures? In fact, oh, if crazy enough, one could make the whole underside of the vehicle illuminate.

A few, mainly added skids. I like leaving the suspension alone. I drive forest service dirt roafs in the desert west extremely extremely too fast. Toyota nailed this suspension going 65 across desert terrain. Changing it is dumb unless you have a specific need like crawling or mud.
Added a Dometic fridge/freezer and ran a popsicle camping test. 3 days 2 nights, in Wyoming. Outside temp went to 104 the cooler never failed. Popsicles remained frozen.

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
So I love my new truck, but one of the biggest little irritations are the extra small knobs they used on the screen. Unbelievable but my extra large hands don't do well with these and they're smooth as well making them even more useless! So,20220817_200658.jpg 20220817_184215.jpg I upgraded from the "children's" knobs to some more manly Tacoma knobs! I liked these because they have the lighting around the base. Small touch but will get a lot of use.

    Not the OP.
The advantage of puddle lights embedded in the bottom of the mirrors is that the doors and side steps get illuminated well.
I did my own take on puddle lights with similar results.

It would seem like the side steps would not be illuminated as soon as you open the door and go to step on them though.

That's where the interior overhead lights take over and if you have footwell lights installed that helps as well. I also did my own take on footwell light's by adding a super bright LED to the front of the door panel at speaker level. Although the pic doesn't show the running board, you can actually see it as opposed to not having any illumination in the area at all.
