No clue, but she did confess that the first time she had to crawl up on the roof and kinda sit on it to get it back in place. Then she accidentally hit the retract button a few weeks later. I had to spend $50 on the MB repair DVD, which was actually a damn good value. It had all the diagrams and wiring and such.

Anything goes wrong when your truck is under warranty, don't touch it, drive to the dealership and throw them the keys.

I’ve been to dealers in Colorado that have their own automated car washes with brushes on site. This is BS.

ALL current Toyota V6's sold here are on the GR V6 platform, bro. Including the 4.sl0w and the Camry since like 2007. Just because it's the same platform doesn't mean it's the same engine. :deadhorse:

Right they are all in the GR engine family, but the 1GR-FE 4.0 is not the same as the 3.5 2GR-FKS that is found in the 3rd gen Taco's and 2017+ Camry's. The 4.0 was never found in a unibody vehicle.

Did you really just go through my post history to make an indirect attack that you couldn't even reply directly to me? Cringe...

    Haha!

I really do like that stupid hole in the roof. Love opening all the windows and sunroof and driving around in the summer. Can do it for hours.
    :rasta:

Well hopefully it won’t break though, if it will, TW will be the first one to know.:)

This doesn't apply for lemon law and the lemon law goes thorough Toyota direct, not the dealer.

My Toyota dealer has touchless wash on site lol. I get a free wash every time I bring my 3rd gen in. It doesn't have a sunroof but I see plenty of Tacoma going through it when I wait for my oil change.

Cricket, My two cents at this stage: Please report the SA's unprofessional behavior to both his boss and Toyota Corporate. There is no question, this is covered by warranty. Get Toyota involved, have this service center fix the truck and never go back. Reporting this person's behavior should ensure your repair is done correctly and in the correct time frame. This is one of the most egregious dealership stories I've heard. More options come in to play depending on how dealership responds of course.

When speaking with Toyota, discuss the loaner car. If you bought the truck from this dealership, call your salesperson also and tell them about this experience.

Is 7K for a sunroof even possible? Isn't it like a $1,500 option?
