Yep, tested here in post #4548. Output intensity is improved, but quality is lacking and not like OEM.

Can anyone tell me where I can order the DRL/turn signal harness for Sport model? Thanks.

can you show use a picture of the high beams as well without the fog lights please. I want to buy a set but I haven’t seen anyone post with high beams.

I’ve had the Morimoto headlights installed for 26 months now. The quality of the lenses is definitely sub-oem quality. I wash my truck by hand, but have had to polish out the lenses because they can’t take regular trips up to the snow and into the desert.

Most recently, the right turn indicator stopped working. The unit is under warranty and Morimoto is replacing it free of change. Unfortunately, because of the poor quality of the lenses, I need to replace BOTH sides so they’ll match. Morimoto graciously offered to sell me the driver’s side for $500. Wahoo!

On the plus side, the light these throw off is incredible. That said, if I could turn back time I would have bought the OEM TRD Pro units. It’s tough to beat stock Toyota reliability and durability.

OEM would have been a good option for an upgrade if only it was easier to source in Canada as well.

Canada can't come close to the 1350USD price. In fact, it's even hard to find a dealer what would get them for you at their own pricing (north of 2000CAD). At least to me, the XB Gen2's were a viable option from a supply-chain standpoint. It also comes blacked out already so that's a plus, and no additional cost for a wiring harness.

I bought a pair of Morimoto XB LED Headlights for a Tacoma sr5 2021, not too long ago I got a Trd Sport 2022 instead which comes with factory led headlights and I gave the Morimoto XB LED headlights a try on the new truck. When connected to the truck with an adapter all seemed to work fine but as I tested all functions, the following happened...
    - When testing the high beam it would blow the fuse
    - Blew through several fuses (10,15)

Switched the adapter since there's 2 one for each headlight obviously and no fuses were blown but now...
    - When the Stalk is "off" and attempt to use the high beam, the circuit works apparently but in reality it only activates the low beams
-When in "Auto" or "Drl On" the blue jellyfish turns on but no change is made as far as lighting goes
    - When in Parking light the high beam circuit activates the low beams same situation when the stalk is on "Off"
-When Headlights are fully on the blue jellyfish lights up on the dashboard but change is made on the lighting (same situation as the "Auto" setting)

    Please help, thanks

To my understanding these aren't meant to be used on tacomas with factory LED headlights. Only sr/sr5s or trds with halogens and L Shaped drls

I think there is a custom adapter you can get, right?

Morimoto now offers a harness for an extra $48 which is apparently an adapter for it to be plug & play

Looked at their site. They do seem to sell an additional adapter

Indeed there is. The issue is that I have no high beams anymore, initially my stock headlights' high beam circuit worked perfectly fine and when attempted to use them with the Morimoto Headlight plugged in it would blow the fuse. Now neither the factory headlights nor the morimoto headlights have an actual functioning high beam which is what I am trying to resolve

Yes they do but I but them prior to them giving that option and now I'm second guessing the harness I bought.
    I bought it from ExtremeTerrain

Idk anything about the harnesses. I have an sr5 and it was plug and play

Edit. This is not the right harness. Says factory LED drl. Not factory LED headlights

Might want to reach out to @memario1214. Might have some insight on what you need exactly

I doubt it would be the harness having that all connectors match, what I do seem to find weird is that both connectors are the same color (green) which originally would be for the low beams

At this time the overall viewpoint in the community is that the OEM LED headlights in the current Tacomas are the premier output option out there. The Gen2 Morimoto XBs are a good option for sure for OEM halogen upgrades (especially if you like the Amber DRL option). As a result of the OEM LEDs being good I don't believe that anyone produces a "downgrade" harness at this time to convert OEM LED to anything else out there. I'm not interested in building something like that currently, and I think the only person who might have something available would be @daveeasa and I have a sneaking suspicion that he doesn't have anything either.

@Puppypunter built one for one guy. I can find the thread. I had/have moral objections to participating in that which is admittedly ridiculous (it's just freaking pickup trucks after all) but still, that's where I stand on the subject (effectively unwilling to assist). Sorry.

Something is fishy here, though, b/c "factory LED headlights" means MX-150 6 position connector which won't mate up to Morimoto anything AFAIK? Perhaps you have factory halogen with LED DRL and you are confusing the two options? Just thought I'd mention that b/c what you describe doesn't make sense. Photos will help us confirm your setup.
