You’ll love that I’m expecting mine the first half of next year and I ordered it January 2019.

When they launched the R1T in November of 2018 they were saying “late 2020”. The same time frame when I ordered a couple months later. I think it was late in 2020 they confirmed that the 135kWh battery pack versions would be shipping first with the 180kWh 6-12 months after that.

Tell me about it, but no other cars pique my interest besides the new Sequoia. Even then when it hit the dealer lots late this year it’s gonna have $5-10K in mark ups or either useless dealer add ons. Kinda like the GX460 but that shit is running on its 13th model year (been out since 2010).

Summer 2020 it was pretty clear that there wasn’t going to be anything soon so I bought a Tacoma so I had a truck, figuring that I could also determine how much I need a truck in my life and if I even needed to wait for the Rivian.

That’s just silly. I would never wait that long for anything and certainly never put money down. Why give the company a loan? By the time you actually get the truck there will be something better coming to the market.

Early next year is 2 years out? Someone sold you some bunk calendars. That’s less than a year away.

If there is something “better” from another manufacturer it will most likely be built in limited quantities, sold at a premium price, and the production for the first year will be sold out in minutes.
