    I still haven't got my rub. For some reason the USPS shipped it to Memphis instead of Tucson. I checked the tracking number... In route, but arriving late. No kidding, it was supposed to be here last Saturday.:smack:

    Just so I can reference it in explaining below, here is what I consider the quadrants:

    1 | 2
    -------
    3 | 4

    I could swap out one of the quadrants for another sear plate, so it'd have two of those vs one. That's a relatively simple design change.

    If you want one solid piece across the top (joining quadrants 1 & 2 in to one piece), I know I can design/cut it, but I would need to see how that affects the rigidity by removing half of that vertical spine.

    If having two plates - one in quadrant 1 and one in quadrant 2 - works, then I'll get designing, get a shipping quote, then shoot you a price and see what you think.

    Bump it up to 1/4” steel like A MAN and the tensile strength at a 1” wide would be plenty.

    3/16" is a pretty stout grate and I don't think it would suffer without that spine, but still worth testing.

    I mean, we could offer anything in any thickness for the right price ;).
