Don’t be a Dick. You’re the idiot that ordered a truck in 2019 that might be ready in 2023.

My favorite part about this, is the fact that the OPs last post was #287.

Sure, I’m a dick because you can’t do math. Always someone else’s fault.

I think it’s a fresh water lake but still can’t be good to be submerged for that long. Something will leak eventually.

Since the time you’ve ordered the Rivian the Lightning has come out. I would argue it’s a better vehicle and made by a legit company that’s not likely to go out of business and you can actually get parts for it.

I saw a Lightning, and a GMC Hummer today. I still don't know why someone would pay the price to drive any electric truck down the road at the posted speed limit.

People aren't doing anything with these trucks that they can't do with a conventional gas powered truck.

I don't mind, because I like seeing different vehicles on the road.

Isn’t that what an Escort Max CI radar detector with laser shifters is for?

It’s not like we are out any money unless the company goes tits up. The preorder deposit is fully refundable and essentially is used to secure a spot in line. I preordered for the Cybertruck, Rivian, Lightning, and Silverado. All of those are refundable but give me the option should I want to purchase.

Rivian decided to not produce the cheaper trim level now.

Did your order just get converted to Adventure trim (and the corresponding pricing)?

I got the notification today that they will be using the darker wood (rather than the light wood originally shown) with the Ocean Coast interior today.

Yep. Since they were all released as prototypes I figured it couldn’t hurt to have a spot in line in case they turned out cool. The cyber truck is the big gamble. Proven EV company but holy hell awkward design. My thoughts were that it might be moderated down to something more conventional by production time but it’s not looking that way.

I have to change the configuration myself prior to September 1st to retain my spot in the production queue.
