I had a chance to compare our kit to another kit which I won't name *cough* [AllPro] *cough* and I thought I would share my findings.

    DESIGN
Ours is on the left, other is on the right. Off the bat you can probably see a few differences.
    20220719_205559.jpg

Most obvious difference is the shape. Let's hold off on that for now.

Next you may notice the keys are different. Ours are a little longer and narrower. You may think the thicker keys are better, but I will show you why they may not be. The length is important as well. We designed our keys to ensure our octagons stay in full contact at any adjustment. With the shorter keys the top or bottom of the alignment cams will hang off. This probably won't be a huge issue but I imagine it could cause some slippage, like a putting the wrong size socket on a bolt. It might work, but may round off with enough force.

We also get a lot of questions asking if our octagons work in other cam tab upgrade kits. Yes, they do:
    20220719_205741.jpg

I'd also like to note our tab plates are quite a bit thicker, meaning less bending and more strength :)
    20220719_205722.jpg

    FITMENT

Now on to the fitment. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves:
    20220719_210001.jpg
^Top left corner hits. This is on the rear-rear LCA tab

    20220719_210100.jpg
    ^ No hitting

    20220719_210243.jpg
^Bottom right corner hits. This is on the front-rear LCA tab.

    20220719_210304.jpg
    ^ No corner hits

    20220719_210121.jpg
^ Bottom right corner hangs off frame

    20220719_210141.jpg
    ^ No hanging chads here

Basically with our more aggressive corner chamfers and overall shorter length (due to the slightly smaller tabs) we are able to clear just about all the little bits of the frame that get in the way.

    INSTALLATION/LONGEVITY
Finally, to get the other kit to fit properly we had to grind quite a bit off the edges. This just adds installation time.
    20220719_210513.jpg

You'll also notice we ground more than 1/2 the weld away. This overall makes the tabs weaker! Even though the tab is thicker, the actual bond is smaller. This could create some issues with tabs breaking if the weld did not penetrate properly.

Hopefully someone finds this info helpful. I know I found it educational at the very least haha.

Do I need adjustable UCA to make these work?

No they will work with the any UCA. I had Total Chaos UCA's on my truck. We've installed them on OEM UCA's and Long Travel kits, they have worked well with everything.
You might be able to dial in your alignment slightly better with an adjustable UCA but our kit has so far always been in spec with everything.

So is this the right place to ask...how do you do a self alignment with aftermarket alignment cams like this? Or will an alignment shop know what to do with it?

Good question! In our experience almost every truck we've installed these on requires the rear cams to be all the way out, and the front to be right in the center. See the file I attached under the Alignment section in my 1st post. That was my personal result set up that way, well within spec.

As far as shops go, corporate tire/alignment shops might be a little weary about touching a kit like this. I'm gonna guess it depends on what techs they have working. We have however had great luck with smaller ma and pop or offroad specific shops. I am working on making a list of alignment shops in different locations that are familiar with a kit like this. If you're in the Los Angeles area I have some suggestions, but beyond that you may have to experiment with shops a little. My guy charges a bit more because it takes a little longer to align with the kit.

Worse case I say set it to my defaults and just have the shop do the toe. I'd say for 95% of the trucks I've worked on that is sufficient.

Hope this info helps! Lmk if you have more questions, I'll be here all day :)

Thanks! I’m going to probably get some of these now even though it’s just a DD. I guess I first need to understand how alignments work. This guys video made it simple. Sharing it for other. It happens to be on a tacoma, doing an alignment DIY with no special tools. https://youtu.be/nsYCvPmkCLI

Just placed an order for the bolts and cams.

I'll probably order one of those sweet grilles later on with an emblem delete

Thanks for the coupon code! I just put in an order. I see the lead time is 5 weeks, are you just waiting on bolts again?

Don't know what I expected but it wasn't nearly 200 bucks. Should be quite valuable to the crowd that needs it though

Thanks so much for the order! You're the 1st one to find the coupon code

Right now we are waiting on laser cut parts. We sold out of our last batch, surprisingly! We put in an order with our laser guy a couple days ago so we should have the parts in the next week or 2. I just put 5 weeks lead time so we have some wiggle room just in case.

Yeah we would really like to get the price down but even though we buy our bolts, nuts, and washers in bulk and have really cheap laser cutting we still pay about $80-120 per set depending on the vehicle, + shipping. Unfortunately there isn't really a way around the covid pricing at the moment. We tried pricing it comparably with other similar products and I personally think ours is a little nicer, though I may be biased

Fair enough. Would waterjetting be cheaper?
