Tacoma Vs. Rivian

I didn't think people stopped anymore.

 

I did the same thing with the only variable being a Hummer instead of Silverado. I prefer the Silverado but missed the preorder on the launch.

We're looking for a truck to use for my wife's business. Will need to haul some equipment but not tow and we are not going to be using it at max range. The majority of the driving for it will be under 100miles round trip. We have solar, generate 20-25% more than we use so it makes sense to have an electric truck for this. No more fuel ups and we can plug it in at night. Right now we're trying to decide between the lightning and the RS1.

That being said I'm still not getting rid of my tacoma or trading my M3 for an electric. The Tesla S is plain stupid fast and outperforms my M3 0-60 but there's something therapeutic about rowing through the manual gears while hearing the engine scream that an electric just can't do.

 

Just like any other bill that helps Americans.

 

Texas electrical grid is the worst in the country and paid for by Texans when it goes down. And they have no choice to pay. Bills could be low one month and near $1000 the next.

"Optional compact spare tire that inflates to full size" reads to me as "it's got a donut."

 

Probably just on a steel wheel. Not a full rim.

 

You might have an actual EV truck to drive already. How many EVs have you ordered? You must really be jonesing to drive an EV.

 

Technically you are because you could be making interest off of that money.

Kinda sorta but no. If I didn’t reserve I’d have no spot in line which is worth money in and of itself. In the case of the Rivian my reservation will save me almost $17k from the difference between preorder pricing and current pricing for the same exact build.

 

Is this a millennial thing or something? Preordering all these products that don’t exist yet?

 

very disappointed in your Radar detector selection. Max CI is just expensive old tech. the best in range are the Uniden R8, V1G2, Escort Redline 360c. Those in the know are aware the best jammers are AL Priority and everything else is garbage.
