I don’t understand why this wouldn’t be an even swap with no cash on buyer’s end.

Because even though everyone says the faux scoop hoods are lame and gimmicky, everyone deep down really wants one.

There’s a dedicated hood swapping thread that’s 365 pages long in b/s/t, and this is the going rate. According to hundreds of transactions there, the scoop is $500 more valuable than flat

Except not really. Maybe if I was the one receiving the $500 I'd consider trading my non-skewped hood for a skewp....but deep down, superficial, and above the surface I have zero interest in skewps. :D

And good luck with the "sale" OP.

Don't think anyone else here but yourself cares about what you think, only commenting on this because this has beat to death over and over and if there was a poll, the TRD sport/PRO hood desire would outweigh the boring ass OR hood. I don't think he needs "luck" and if he was patient could get more hence the price drop.

Truck is being trade in. And I won’t get anything for parts on it. Wouldn’t drop price if I didn’t have to trade in so soon

This reminds me of the old saying "Location, location, location" If you still lived in the Bay Area, you'd get the original $500 asking price and all of your other parts would've been swapped out. I just checked to see where Easton, PA is located and now I see why it's been difficult.

Best of luck to you as someone will score an amazing deal!

EXACTLY. It's so dead out here in PA. I list cars off my other cars and no hit at all. Even tried to sell my high end mountain bikes and no hit either. I lived in the Bay Area, CA for 40+ yrs before I moved here. NEVER ever had issues selling high demand parts. The things I listed won't last for a hour in the Bay lol.

I buy my new motorcycles out in mid PA(WIlkes Barre/Tyrone) since i live in SE CT, 3-4 hour drives because no one is looking for sport bikes there, all dirt, adventure or cruisers, once got $6k off a new bike and in March got $2100 off a new with great trade in not even negotiating. Must be the same thing with cars, would've thought the truck would have more hits. Try posting in the regional for a swap with a meet in the middle scenario.

If I’m not able to sell parts off the truck then will just trade in as is.
