Let me guess- first rain in a while?

If it's the first light rain in one month or more, it brings the oils to the surface of the road - it takes heavier or multiple rains to wash these oils away.
All tires perform poorly in oily conditions.

As far as the wildpeaks go, I have personally found them to be a superior wet tire. But it has to be a heavy rain to see their performance.

In light rains, go slow. For the reasons above. :D

Slow down a bit. I had those tires for 4 years (swapped between snows and summers) and they work as expected in wet roads. . . for a TRUCK tire and gave decent traction overall and truck handled well. As Rock Lobster said after a hot spell and a light rain.. roads are slick with oily crap on the surface so traction kinda sucks . Just keep in mind your driving a truck, not a sports car.. :bikewheelie::mudding:

Looks like you turned right then left pretty quick considering the conditions and speed you were going. But it does seem like the tires should’ve been able to handle it

I love my AT3W's in the rain and in the dry. Super quiet and excellent traction.

Yes, first in like 3 months. I definitely will drive more slowly now, this could have gone really bad in the wrong place and the wrong time.

Addendum:. It's annoying me that I don't recognize that downtown skyline.
