Yes, I not only know quite a bit and have treated clients with Asperger's but I also previously put on a Northeast meet for TW for Autism Speaks. I implore you to check out the thread on it.

Well, it is not my place to put an opinion on someone like that but it certainly appears that you had the greater insight not to continue to engage in the relationship with her due to her impulsive and aggressive behavior no matter what she might be diagnosed with.

I severed all ties with her in September 2021. One of my other friends continues to communicate with her purely out of pity, but hasn't heard from her in a couple weeks.

    Definitely need the stereo!

Wish I had a picture but a buddy in my 20s had a vehicle called The Hearse.

81 Chevy Caprice Classic wagon, black with purple pinstripes and rims..dark tint windows. That was the body. It sat upon a 78 International Scout frame and running gear.

I'm still coming up to Massachusetts next month, but for now my dad has talked me out of driving the Tacoma up there to save gas.

Cape Ann. @ABA180 has basically the same truck as me and I was planning on following my parents up to MA so I could have my own vehicle and get a photo op with Chris's truck, but my dad talked me out of it in the interest of saving money on gas. It's a month from now, so I'm going to try and change my dad's mind.

1992 was the very last year for one of my favorite Cadillacs ever, the Fleetwood Brougham. My grandpa had a white 1983 Fleetwood Brougham with a white leather interior, and here we see a 1992 Fleetwood hearse; I want it!

Even better would be a 1994-1996 Cadillac Fleetwood with the LT1 (This one is a 1996)!

Definitely a smart move to keep your distance from her.

And I've lost loved one before, numerous humans and two dogs; I got through those losses better because all of the people who died had significant health issues and there was no quality of life. My grandpa was only 71 when he died, but he had lung cancer that spread to his liver. The other relatives were all in their 80s and 90s. My first dog was 15 when we had to put her to sleep, and my second dog was only a year, but she had rare congenital kidney disease; Jim was 75 and expected to be out of the hospital in a couple days. He even drove himself to Fox Chase Cancer Center for the procedure!

Jim sounds like a pretty cool guy. Remembering all the good time and celebrating his life is the best thing you can do.

One of the favorite stories making its rounds among his family would be last October when Jim and I took the spark plugs out of my Tacoma to see if there was any oil and find the cause of my truck's mysterious oil consumption. The spark plugs had no oil on them, but they had 40K miles on them and were a bit dirty, so we made the decision to drive maybe three miles to the Toyota dealer to get new ones and install them in his driveway. The problem was that I'd pulled the truck into his driveway, blocking both his Ridgeline and Helen's Corvette, and rendering the Tacoma unable to start since the distributor wires and the spark plugs were taken out. Putting the Tacoma back together and moving it, only to take it apart again, was deemed too much of a pain in the ass. We decided to push the Tacoma out of the driveway, then take the Corvette to the dealer to acquire the new spark plugs. Jim was 74 at the time and had a catheter hooked up to him due a medical issue unrelated to his death; He had the catheter bag in a wooden box with a handle that he carried around him. I was 32 and had no medical issues, so I insisted Jim hop behind the wheel while I pushed; Jim wasn't having it, and made me get behind the wheel. Again, this is a 74-year old with a catheter!

So, if I remember correctly, Jim placed his catheter caddy on the front bumper of my truck (I had the bull bar by then) and pushed while I steered and worked the brakes. No engine meant no power steering or power brakes, so manhandling my nearly 2-ton truck out of the driveway in reverse without those was interesting to say the least. I still had accessory power, so I believe that I was able to use the backup camera to make sure I didn't take out the fence or Helen's flowers. My biggest fears were that Jim was going to strain his back, pull a muscle, or fall. None of that ended up happening and he pushed the truck out of the driveway without incident. We then hopped in the Corvette and drove to Thompson Toyota, picked up the spark plugs, came back, and installed them. Jim was a badass, as at 75 years of age he was routinely going to the shooting range and taking care of two rental properties in addition to the house that he and Helen lived in!

On another note, at the time I had the spark plugs in my truck replaced the first time, I had never done the job before and my mechanic did it while I watched. That was in the summer of 2019, just shy of 100K miles (the owner's manual recommends every 100K for spark plugs if I remember correctly); I had about 140K miles on the truck when Jim and I did the second spark plug replacement. 100K miles in just under ten years is a lot more leisurely than 40K in just over two years, especially when a good portion of those miles were accumulated driving for DoorDash in the suburbs. After Jim and I put those new spark plugs in, the difference in performance was immediately noticeable.

The photo op would be fun but yeah the fuel plus mileage..

I was close to actually driving mine to Newark NJ 4 years ago for the Misfits show, ended up flying it.

Originally a thread called Battery light false positive?...

The battery is an Optima Yellow Top that was put in around January 2021 when the damage done to the previous battery by the failing alternator manifested itself. Yesterday, it came on when I first started the truck and went out after I shut off and restarted the truck. My mechanic thinks the alternator may be going bad again, but isn't so sure. The truck sat in a parking space at work for several hours, and the light did not come back on when I started it to go home.

This morning, I started the truck to go to a doctor's appointment and got it again...

I have no idea if turning off and restarting the truck actually did anything, but the light went out after I did this two or three times. When the alternator went last December, the engine was relying entirely on the battery for all power and starting it was a struggle. My truck is not having any difficulty whatsoever starting up, and there are no warning lights (ABS, airbag, etc) like there were back in December.

My friend who used to be a mechanic and actually replaced the alternator last December is saying it's entirely possible that an electric issue is causing a "false positive" of sorts.
