If you planned on adding lights, bumper and rack to your truck anyway...get it.
If none of that matters to you, spend less on brand new.

I don't know for sure but that's what they did to Tundra. Dumped the V8 and went to V6 turbo. I'm assuming they'll go the way of Ford Ranger and put a high output 4 that'll look good on paper for EPA and in the showroom but those of us that buy for longevity will be left in dust. I'm glad I bought my '21 because it will likely be my last truck and I just sold a cherry 24 y/o Ranger 4.0L 4x4 that I bought new in '98! In 20 years, I'll be 80! Not so sure I'll make it that far, though! o_O:confused:

For an SR? Used? No thanks, but that's just me. Also, as someone else mentioned, you don't know the quality of the install on all those mods either. For that kind of money get a new one and start your mods on a solid platform.

I would say no. You will also loose resale on the back end as the TRD models fetch way more on the used market.

For that price go buy a new off road. You will also get a new car interest rate which will save $$$$ in the end.

What people are forgetting is that every used car on a lot today is elevated in price. It's not exclusive to tacoma or even toyota.
    Supply and demand...microchip shortages...inflation....etc.
I've made money on my last 3 trade ins. That's unheard of except in today's economy.
