I'm all for quiet quitting though I agree with the author that the name is a poor choice. I don't stay a minute longer than I have to, I do what's assigned and what my job description entails. I've been asking for more pay if I take on this website permanently, it eats a lot of my time and I get off hours calls about it now (that I ignore).

There was a woman in Little Rock back during WWII that was so eccentric that she would only sleep on new sheets once. So she went through 365/366 sets of sheets in a year. Then bought a new 1951 99 Oldsmobile and it only had 8 miles on it when she died. Never let anybody drive it because she couldn't find the right Chauffer to hire. So it sat undriven. Though she hired people to routinely wash and wax it in the hotel garage where she lived. They lived in a hotel.

I was reading about it from target employees on reddit. Apparently (without a receipt) you're allowed to return clothing up to a year after the fact if you used your phone number when buying it.. i believe their thinking is a kind of warranty on manufacturing defects. So people have been buying clothes for their kids, then bringing them back and returning them when the kids have grown out of it or just been kids and beat the shit outta their clothes.

It got bad enough I now think they've put a $250 limit on clothing returns without receipts

yeah that's just blatant abuse of a generous policy, but no good deed goes unpunished. You'd think if people really wanted to be able to keep it up that they'd refrain from making it a viral internet sensation...

I have to say, I went to oriellys yesterday, in a shitty part of town too. Fully expecting to have my no reciept return denied, I just wanted to exchange a belt I didn't use for a gasket I need. But they actually found it with my phone number and returned it for full value, wasn't expecting that at all.

Same experiences. I've gone back 2 years later and they made warranty returns. They are based out of Ozark MO. I understand they have a kick-ass IT department.

When the word angry doesn't last long enough so you add another syllable

@Abeyancer I went and looked at that explorer. It's a POS. Every lock is missing no plates pretty sure it's just dumped.
