Definitely CMC, gotta cut front bumper a bit and fender liners.

As much as I want these tires, it will never happen haha. 255/80/17 it is, gets me everywhere I need to go.

Also, it’s kind of strange they list them as 35”. 255/80/17 is a 33”, so a 255/85/17 should be exactly an inch taller.

I've run that trail 6 times both ways. It was easy going but time consuming. I was in my 84 runner, solid axles and locked. 3 inch lift on 31" bfg's, and Double transfer cases.

I would never take my newer Tacoma on that trail.

I’m debating between ARB and eaton
    E locker. Hmm

The plus side of ARB, you get on board air.

Planing a trip to the Rubicon in a year and a half with friends. My 2nd gen has 3" lift, front and mid skids, rear high clearance bumper, and I can run my winch off the front or rear. Stock front bumper. I'm on 255/85/16 currently. I feel like I need an exhaust reroute and 3rd skid, gears and lockers, and 255/85/17. Marlin Taco box would be ideal, but probably not in the cards.

What spares should I bring? Front axle(s), driveshaft, fluids,...?

    Thoughts?

I'd love to hear what folks who have run the trail think.
Apologies for the thread hijack, just seemed like a good group of knowledgeable folks to ask.
    Thanks!

Edit: I also have sliders with kickout, and lift is Old Man Emu springs and shocks.
