Changing the rear diff fluid today. Been 600 miles since the Eaton Trutrac install so I am going to open it up and have a look see and then replace the fluid. Much cooler day than when the install was done. Happy Friday.

Anyone have any experience with the Rough Country leveling kit with the coil overs? I am pretty close to pulling the trigger on this. I think this will fit my needs and its only $350

Nope. They are Rough Country. ADD for the win! Any thoughts on this Rough Country leveling kit?

I edited my post. Tonymontana realized my mistake. He is not crazy...I initially said Toytec instead of Rough Country

Personally… I’d recommend you stay away from RC components. RC is basically your PepBoy brand quality. and nothing good ever comes from cutting corners on quality. I mean… you bought a Tacoma, not a Ranger… so why start now? Lol!

But like @Tonymontana said above… what are your plans? I mean you already added a locker, right? So I assume you’d like to take it OffRoad. RC is fine if you just want a bit of height and add tires. But your ride quality will drastically take a dive. If you just want height and no capabilities, just get a set of Supreme top-hat spacers. That’s quick, easy and retains the OEM ride quality.

There are many better options for the price range your looking. Get a set of 5100’s with Eibach springs or even the full stage-1 Eibach kit. You’ll be so much happier you did! I went with the full Eibach 2.0 kit, but that is a bit more. ToyTech and Old Man Emu also make great stuff… but again, more on the mid range of price.

I don’t have any experience with their coilovers but I’ve used their spacers on my Tacoma and my previous truck and they are a good product. I know people hate on spacers and RC but I’ve been pleased. Sorry, that’s all I know lol

It all depends on your needs. Personally I wouldn’t put those on my truck. I would save a little more money. Bilstein 6112’s are a good match for Tacomas. Just my 2 cents. Bottom line it’s your truck and if it makes you happy go for it.

I'm generally happy with my OME stuff - more expensive but not terribly-so.

I think you could get the Blistein 5110 kit for around that price.. maybe. I’d look into those before the RC. You can reuse the oem coils for those as well. I might be misremembering pretty bad but @JennJenn has the 5110s front and rear. It might have been a while but I think she was happy with them, if not I’m sorry for tagging you but  anyway

My whole "build" is based on replacing things as I find I truly need them. IE: Car tires upgraded to STMaxx's. bottomed out in W.Va. on a fire road and banged up my splash guard...upgraded to TRD skid, got stuck, my brother pulled me out with his Kubota tractor and he told me my recovery point was actually a tied down point and he convinced me to upgrade...I went a little overkill and got an ARB recovery point. He also told me if I had a locker of sorts he wouldn't have had to pull me out so I put an Eaton Trutrac in the rear. Now I bottomed out the suspension a few times. Im not a crawler, offroader or hard core. I fish/hunt use National Park fire roads, my brothers 170 acres in W.Va. and such. I think I need a bit more travel but not much. Now I am leaning toward a Toytec 2" kit with coil overs.
