I like it, definitely got a little bite to it. I picked up a bottle from the distillery when I was in Louisville because my boss spoke highly of it. Not sure I’ll buy another one for the price point. Noah’s Mill is comparable high test bourbon for about $30 less.

I have read that some of the dominant flavors are tobacco and butterscotch. True?

Curious on this as well. It's on my "to try" list. Passed on it last time I saw it in the store.

Finish is sweet, can’t identify the tobacco but Im still working on getting better at identifying flavor notes.

I’m a big fan of this bourbon. I recommend it.

Walk into my local intending on buying 4R SiB. Even though I might find it too sweet. As I walk in, the proprietor gets excited and says "I've got some new bourbons!". Penelope 80 proof, Penelope barrel strength, Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare! I got really excited when I saw the Eagle Rare. But at $79 I decided to pass. I really like it but it's not worth that to me. He said he keeps ordering it but only gets 1 bottle rarely. Buffalo Trace was $49. Again a little pricey but I don't care for it anyways. I took a chance on the Penelope barrel strength at $62. It seems to be a high corn percentage which I'm a fan of. Haven't cracked it open yet. It's only the 2nd time I've seen Eagle Rare in the store, but I don't really go hunting for it.

Fighting off COVID - completed the Paxlovid antiviral this morning - moved on to the Willett Rye treatment plan this evening. Smooth.

That Tincup has been growing on me lately. It’s smooth and has a nice taste.

Picked this up as a novelty a couple of years ago. Thinking of stashing this for the next 27 years :)

I like it! Initial thought is it's a little hot but it's 57%. Added a little water and the flavor really comes thru. Reminds me of EW BiB but a fuller flavor. EW $17, this is $62... So..... But it's early in the bottle. I like that they're up front about it being an MGP product.
