What on a bike is cheap? Especially an ADV bike. Crash bars are expensive. Lights, panniers, etc.

I’m kinda curious to see how they work.

A altrider rear brake dual control kit is like $110 or something.

    this.

The pic I sent? When standing vs sitting your foot is at a different angle. This offers you two surfaces to press your foot on for rear brake control.

I have noticed newer GSA’s having a flip down smaller peg for the rear brake that is essentially the same concept

with the foot pegs you can rotate the peg enough to compensate for that angle between standing and sitting. It looks like in the design, they are meant to return to a neutral position for normal riding and depending on if you stand or sit allow for forward or backwards rotation for a more comfortable riding style

ah i see i went and also read on it and its a neat design tbh because even with my bike i have noticed that sometimes my foot seems to be in the wrong spot for my rear brake

thats interesting its good idea tbh so you have more area to grab

ya i was noticing that with the pegs its neat maybe one day ill swap haha but for now my my razor blades work haha

I even tend to stand on the bike in heavier traffic so I can see further ahead and anticipate which lanes I can dart in and out of or if I see a long line of brake lights…

I was feeling the same way after owning the 300 for a bit. The acceleration isn’t exactly eye watering. But I live in the country, and really only ride once in a while for fun, or the rare day I don’t need to take the truck to either carry something into town, or haul something back to the house. The 650 would be nice, but with the low speed limits around here, the extra power wouldn’t make a heckuva lot of difference. Just less wrist to get it up to 60km/h (37ish MPH). Now that I’ve put the idea that I need more CC’s out of my mind, I’m really enjoying the bike. It’s light, nimble, and it’s compact size makes it almost as fun to ride as my previous Grom. Way more fun to ride than my WR250R was. The only thing I’d really like to do to this bike is put a set of scrambler tires on it, or a street oriented dual sport tire to make it feel a little more planted riding the gravel road I live down. The odd ball tire size is making it difficult to find something that will fit though.

gov facility? I dunno. Its not worth it to me to post again, so just enjoy that single bike

side note, browsing fb marketplace and found some lights for a good deal. Going to pick them up tomorrow evening. Pair of Baja Designs Squardron Sports in amber, and a pair of S1 with clear lenses, brand new with harnesses for $375.

The Squadron sports to the crash cage somewhere.. I have been searching for some cheap mounts and have a few lined up. Once I get the lights in hand, Ill do some mock ups. Need to decide if Im going to keep or flip the S1s

DIY is the best feeling. Especially when someone asks where they can buy it
