At this point I just want my truck back.

    - For MPP- I told you so…., if my trucks not repaired correctly I will push further down the legal path. You’re just making this harder for me, and causing me more bullshit by screwing around based on cost for service that was the commitment based on the purchase of the warranty.
    - For Toyota motor company: y’all’s incompetence in design, engineering and or manufacturing is unforgivable. I will troll you and talk shit about your products as long as I live. Whatever motor ends up working long enough to pull it out of the shop will be questionable because of your incompetence. Really hurts my heart that y’all have proven to be so shitty.. I had Toyota on a pedestal, and was an idiot for that.[/QUOTE]

FWIW when Toyota had issues with the HG on the 3.0 they denied any fault and once it was to the point that they knew it was a defect, they covered those that paid for repairs done at dealers prior to the issuance of the campaign. If it is proven to be a defect, they will make it right.

    Nothing.

I’m driving my 3/4t diesel. Wife is driving the FZJ.

I am banging around off-road in an XJ with an LS swap and 1 ton axles.

Nice. I’ve been toying around with going to a 5.7L tundra, as I feel a bit more safe with that powertrain but 13 mpg, uhf.

    Update 8/29:
Last Friday marked 60 days since my engine failure and. I got a call from the shop that my truck is finally ready to be picked up!! The second mystery motor came from a 2021 salvage truck and this one had 20k miles.. I did have them change spark plugs, they covered labor and I have to pay parts. Then he recommended that I get an alignment because of how many times they moved it.. I figured if it needed it that would’ve been part of the repair.. anyway on my way to pick her up now with my fingers and toes crossed! Thanks again for all the help and support TW!! Hopefully chitty chitty bang bang rides again!:bananadance:

Unbelivable, 5k out of powertrain on a 2 year old truck. Disappointing to hear.

At least you ended up with a lower mile engine. Hopefully all is well with the truck now. Does that engine have a warranty up to 60K miles now?
