    It’s been over six months since I requested a access cab sport Green with tech package m/t still no word The two dealership I talk to say I live in the wrong region but I bought 21 tacoma four-door 5 foot bed for the time being but I miss my access cab truck they have more acceleration power and I can use it more with a 6 foot with a manual transmission i’ll probably have to wait until November or December because supply chain shortage

    The truck was build 07/26, rail departed on 07/27 in route to the Logistics Park. ETA to get there was 08/09, but it has not update. Below is the original ETA, but it may get behind since still showing on the train.

    I call my dealer every week or so to push them to check on my truck and ask up the chain what’s going on. Apparently for trucks from Baja they go to a big lot and by luck of the draw they can get picked up immediately or get quickly buried by other arriving vehicles. So my truck was built July 12 but was one of the unlucky ones stuck at the back of a big lot of other cars.

    This is really disappointing of Toyota and not at all fair to us buyers. It’s not really fair to dealers either, who are then pressured into questionable decisions just to keep customers happy.

    I wrote here previously my salesman mention possibly switching me to another vehicle that was reserved by someone else. I was not comfortable with that and it turns out his sales manager wouldn’t let that happen anyway, so that’s good. So I’m still here waiting!

    The "stuck in the back of the lot" story sounds made up. Between that and then offering you someone else's truck I personally would find a new dealer.
    You don't want to do business with someone who lies to you and on top of that is unethical.
    But that's just my opinion based on that little info.

    I agree it sounds kind of lazy that it’s just a big lot and cars get buried all the time. I’m pretty sure Toyota has built fluidity into their supply chain and the cars are “staged” based on assigned ships/rail cars and by destination. A big lot may look like a free for all but it is organized chaos.
