If someone pulled up driving that car, it would take every fiber in my body not to walk up and just bitch slap them. They look cool, they sound cool, you just can't have the actual muscle, but hey man, you can be a poser all you want.

Hard pass, no thankyou very much.

    Fuck dodge for selling out.

Who cares. It's an abomination. I would probably puncture my ear drums with chop sticks if I ever heard it in real life.

Vince Vaughan and Kevin James did this in 2011 in the movie The Dilemma.

It was "meh" then, it's "meh" now. Seems like a pretty dumb thing to get your panties all twisted up about.

I'm looking forward to less noise on the road, in cities by EV versus ICE. The imitation engine sound i hope will be a complete flop.

My secret shame is the enjoyment of idiots on scooters blindly zipping into traffic in front of Teslas.

Bahahaha a scooter in Texas traffic is like playing frogger or Russian roulette. Sooner than later you will be the squished frog.

That's what Ford did with the mustang. Played engine sounds through the speakers. When people upgraded their stereo it disappeared and they were pissed. Don't know if they ever changed it.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
You do realize less noise means more pedestrian/vehicle accidents... Karma kicking in, but still...

Heck, I'm not ashamed. I enjoy watching mopeds and bikes get creamed when they zip into traffic like they are immune to 2+ tons of steel.

Lane splitters are my absolute favorite. Watched a rice rocket get creamed on MOPAC a few years ago by a Dodge Ram dually. How the driver lived was a miracle - one of the few riders around here with proper PPE.

so what's the TLDR on this? 0-60 times, range, cost, etc? Tried to watch but the marketing wank at the first put me to sleep. Then I jumped ahead and heard some noises that made no sense. Was that some kind of pedestrian warning sound, kind of like the nanny noise required on EV's when they back up? JK I know what it was but WTF. If I pumped the accelerator on my Model Y like that I'd be mowing down pedestrians left and right. One of the joys of driving an EV is the instant throttle response. I don't understand what the point is of all that noise when it has nothing to do with going fast. Before the no-fun police got involved the Tesla could sound like a bunch of different things, my favorite being Monte Python coconuts. So we know the vroom vroom noise will be gone if it ever makes it to production.

All that said it could be a compelling car. My Model Y will beat a Dodge Hellcat SRT in a 0 - 60 race, so the EV version should be damn fast. It won't look like every other EV on the road which IMO is a plus. Give it a 300 mile range and a price competitive with the Model Y performance and I think it will sell.
