Well that would make sense then. My 4wd ecu has been unplugged since I did the fj swap and no issues with codes. Is there a reason you want to leave the 4wd ecu connected?

It originally came on when it was unplugged so I plugged it back in to see if there was a change, but the light came back on

Has anyone figured out how to shut down abs while using a manual box? Originally it would shut off in 4low. I might just wire in relay to kill the abs when I use 4low

I wired mine with a relay so turning on my arb air locker kills my abs for me.

if you wire the 4lo connector to work as stock it will still disable the abs

I don’t think Abs disables during normal 4LO operation, only vsc and whatnot. It does disable if you actuate a factory e locker.

ah, you’re right, I had my thoughts mixed up. I just know my dash looks like a Christmas tree in both 4lo or locked so i lost track of what’s disabled when lol

Some alarm shop bad installation. They tap a wire and mistakenly thought it was the door lock relay.

Did you do this by killing your abs at the module?

Getting ready to do this saturday and for those with autos who did the swap what is needed to pull the transfer case? Do you guys remove the trans as well? From what I've gathered online looks like i can get away without and just lowering the trans a little to get to the top bolts. Trying to get all my ducks in order lol.

Got the front diff ready to go with the Fj tube/ADD delete

So I guess I didn’t do enough research or I messed up but how do I get the sleeve off the shaft.. didn’t realize I had one there as the FJ case didn’t come with. Any help would be great. Trucks on the lift apart and I’m scratching my head where I went wrong

No clue how to get just the sleeve off, but if it comes down to it you can swap over the entire input shaft. Typically that sleeve is on the FJ case too.

i used a punch and hammerr one time to get it off. the other time used a nut welded to the sleeve and made a makeshift slide hammer

Ended up throwing the original case back in so I could drive home. Basically my situation was I work at a ford dealer and had to be out by 4 so I was on a time crunch. I’m no mechanic just a parts bitch so I’m not pro at this stuff. Going to order a new sleeve and just get one on the fj case and be ready to do the swap in the next upcoming weeks… did get the front diff with the fj tube installed though - that was fairly easy.

Getting the sleeve on I assume is pretty straight forward?

I don’t mind the lights but if I could get them to shut off that’d be great - now that I have no ADD my 4lo/4wd indicators blink. Can I just unplug the 4wd ecu to get that fixed or possible disconnect something elsewhere?
